Цель исследования: оценить эффективность осмотического слабительного полиэтиленгликоля 4000 (ПЭГ) в лечении запоров у детей. Пациенты и методы: в рамках врачебной практики, с целью лечения запоров 31 ребенку в возрасте от 5 до 17 лет (средний возраст 10,0±3,5 года) в соответствии с инструкцией назначали тридцатидневный курс приема осмотического слабительного ПЭГ 4000. Оценивали динамику клинических проявлений запора и показателей электрической активности различных отделов желудочно-кишечного тракта методом периферической электрогастроэнтерографии (ПЭГЭГ). Результаты: до начала лечения большинство детей жаловались на задержку стула (90%), натуживание при дефекации (87%), затрудненную дефекацию (81%) и жесткий стул (77%). Жалобы на длительное пребывание в туалете (68%) и «овечий стул» (55%) предъявляли около 50% детей. В результате лечения у всех пациентов нормализовалась частота стула, статистически достоверно уменьшилась частота других проявлений запора. Показатели электрической активности толстой кишки свидетельствовали о стойких нарушениях эвакуации ее содержимого. Одновременная оценка динамики электрической активности различных отделов желудочно-кишечного тракта (Pi / PS) и динамики коэффициента ритмичности (Kritm) толстой кишки свидетельствовала об улучшении ее сократительной способностии перистальтики. Развития нежелательных явлений на фоне приема препарата не наблюдали ни у одного из пациентов. Выводы: ПЭГ 4000 — эффективное и безопасное средство для лечения запоров у детей.
