В работе обсуждается широкий спектр вопросов, касающихся анатомо-физиологических особенностей строения органов дыхания ребенка. Систематизированы сведения о показаниях и противопоказаниях к проведению бронхоскопии. Определен алгоритм выбора оптимального метода исследования, дающего максимально полный спектр интересующей информации; освещены современные представления о подготовке и методах обезболивания при бронхоскопических манипуляциях у детей. Акцентировано внимание на комплексном анализе эндоскопически выявляемых структурно-функциональных изменений дыхательных путей в зависимости от нозологической формы и особенностей течения основного заболевания. Описана эндоскопическая картина наиболее часто встречающихся пороков развития трахеи и бронхов у детей. Детализирована методика выполнения бронхоальвеолярного лаважа, щипцовой и браш-биопсии. Представлены уникальные данные новейшего эндоскопического метода исследования — конфокальной лазерной эндомикроскопии (альвеолоскопии) у детей старшей возрастной группы, не применявшегося ранее в Российской Федерации и за рубежом.
