TONSILLECTOMY IN CHILDREN

Abstract

Tonsillectomy is one of the most effective methods of treatment of chronic inflammatory diseases of tonsils. This article contains the principal indications and contraindications to performing of this procedure in children. The author describes the most common methods of tonsillectomy, ways of prevention of post-surgical complications and management of children during post-operative period.
