Abstract
Basing upon proprietary research including data on 130 patients with acute steno sing laryngotracheobronchitis, the authors conclude that the usage of systematic and topical glucocorticosteroids promotes reduction of upper air passages obstruction within 24chour period among 83% of patients. Inhalation with moistened air is inefficient and cannot be considered as an independent method for croup therapy. In this research, 14% of patients took antibiotics: in most cases with evident or probable bacterial infection; with no evident signs — just about 3% of patients took the medication. For children with bacterial infections accompanying croup, the introduction of antibiotics had no effect on the croup symptoms dynamics.

Abstract
Researchers compared efficacy of the conventional therapy (oilment with non steriod anti-inflammatory medication, diclofena sodium and azithromycin) among children with reactive arthritis of Chlamydia etiology and treatment with introduction of gluccosaminilmuramildi peptide and desoxiribonucleate sodium immunomodulators. The article shows that application of immunomodulators in combination with the conventional therapy provided for the decrease of the articular syndrome intensity, reduced the need of the patients in local corticosteroids and conduced to the reduction of the lab process activity indices. Further more, they noticed reduced recurrence of the antibodies to Chlamydias and their titers in the blood serum, while general intensity of the antiinflammatory effects from the combined therapy, which included glucosaminilmuramildipeptide and desoxiribonucleate sodium immunomodulators along with the antibiotic, proved to be comparable.

Abstract
The article considers the results of infantile mass vaccination with inactivated subunit influenza vaccine (Influvac). It shows that vaccination of 57–72% of children aged 3–17 from organized collectives residing in Mytishchi and Orekhovoczuevo districts of Moscow region was accompanied with nearly triple reduce of flu rates vs. Narofominsk and Odintsovo districts where vaccination was occasional (< 1% of children). The efficiency of the vaccination made 63,7%. Low reactogenicity of the influenza vaccine was recorded. Its convenient packing allows vaccination of large number of children in a short time. The article justifies the necessity of yearly vaccinations even in case of similarity of flu virus strain.

Abstract
The article highlights the data on the spread of Helicobacter pylori (НР) infection among adolescents aged 15–17, its associations with the pathology of the gastroduodenal zone and eradication therapy efficacy. They showed that НР-infection was disc closed among 70% of adolescents, residing in a large industrial city and in 99% of cases it was accompanied by the clinical symptoms of stomach and duodenum lesions. Adolescents without heliconbacteriosis of the gastro duodenal zone showed symptoms of the given diseases only in 16.4% of cases. НР associated and НР cnonassociated changes in the stomach and duodenum mucous tunic among the examined patients were reversible. Successful eradication of H. pylori along with the first line therapy was achieved among 50–60% of adolescents. Introduction of the mixture of bacteria lysates to the treatment was accompanied by the eradication of H. pylori among 95% of the examined patients. Thus, the application of the above said mixture in addition to the commonly accepted scheme of treatment for НР associated diseases of the gastro duodenal zone increases its efficacy, which allows the authors to recommend the immunomodulator for the combined therapy of НР-infection.

Abstract
The article shows findings of the multi centered research, which has analyzed the application of the vitamins and vitamin and mineral complexes among children. Researchers questioned 9,296 parents from 9 Russian cities. Thus, the article shows that the most popular vitamin and mineral complexes of all 26 indicated in questionnaires are Multitabs, Pikovit and Alfavit, which have been chosen by 23,2, 14,9 and 13,1% of parents, respectively. smaller figures were registered for complivit (11,8%) and jungles (10,2%). in some cases, (Biovital Gel, Vitrum) the frequency of VMC application has depended on the region, where respondents reside, as well as on the age of the children. «side reactions» to VMCS were noted among 7,4–16,5% of children. Smallest recurrence of the «side reactions» to VMCS belonged to Alfavit, while the highest one — to Biovital Gel. Most «side reactions» were characterized as slight and manifested themselves in the form of the facial skin redness, rash and skin itch.

Abstract
The research studied the preventive efficacy of the bacterial lysates mixture (IRS 19) prescribed to the healthy primary school aged children. it shows that the application of this medication has been accompanied by the increase of both absolute and relative amount of neutrophils, macrophages and epithelial cells in the nasal secretion. In the test group, the increase of the above said elements has been noted among fewer children, while their share in the total cell mass not only remained intact, yet quite on the contrary the relative amount of macrophages almost twofold reduced. Changes in the cell contents of the nasal secretion among the healthy children and against the application of the bacterial lysates mixture were associated with the recurrence rate of the acute respiratory infection in the following 4 months of observation. The obtained findings allow one to recommend the given immunomodulator for the prevention of the respiratory diseases among the healthy children from organized collectives.

Abstract
The article presents findings of applying vitamin-and-mineral complex (VMC) for children frequently suffering from diseases and children with atopic dermatitis. It shows that usage of VMC within a complex therapy promotes regression of subnormal vitamin provision symptoms, as well as symptoms of the core disease. This happens against heightened vitamin content in child's organism — which was proven with the test of A and E vitamins content in blood. The research has demonstrated a quite good tolerance of VMC by children suffering from atopic dermatitis.

Abstract
The article analyzes the peculiarities of nutrition, macro and micronutrient contents of the average daily ratio for the college students aged between 15 and 18 years old. Performed questioning allowed researchers to reveal the reduced consumption of the food stuffs rich in protein, as well as fruits and vegetables by the adolescents. The study demonstrates that the deficiency of calcium, iron, zinc (among teenagers) and copper (among girls) in the average daily ratio correlates with much poorer advancement. The analysis of the elemental contents in the adolescents' hair showed that high percentage of iron and iodine in the body and low percentage of copper (among teenagers) associates with good advancement. Submitted findings allow one to claim that to increase the intellectual capabilities of the adolescents it is of primary importance to take into account both adequacy of the existing teaching approaches and probable deficiency of the micronutrients among them. Correction of this deficiency may prove to be an important link in the student advancement improvements.

Abstract
The article discusses mechanisms of occurrence and clinical course of children's acute rhinitis. It shows that traditionally, topical decongestants are used for curing acute rhinitis — a group of medications including sympathomimetics and selective ?1-adrenoceptor agonist. At the same time it is known that long time usage of decongestants is accompanied with serious side reactions (paresis of vessel walls of nasal mucous, medicament rhinitis, ETC). Besides, the poisoning frequency is high, especially among infants and younger school age children. An alternative curing method for acute rhinitis is an inhalation with volatile oils complex with bactericidal and bacteriostatic activity. Accordingly, this complex can be recommended as a safe and efficient means for curing and prophylaxis of acute rhinitis
Key words: children, acute rhinitis, topical decongestants, volatile oils.

Abstract
Treatment of the gastroenterological diseases associated with the helicobacterial infection is a complex issue. This is due to the new strains of microorganisms resistant to the medications applied. Based on the data acquired during the examination of 30 children, they showed the high efficacy of the scheme for the triple eradication therapy against helicobacteriosis, which included nifuroxazide suspension (enterofuril) along with omeprazole and clarithromycin. The authors also substantiated the expediency to prolong the treatment up to 10–14 days to improve the eradication efficacy.

Abstract
The authors highlight the experience of the balanced low fat and low lactose mixture with medium chain triglycerides application among children with noninfectious diarrhea and hypotrophy (aged between 3 months and 1 year old, n = 21). All the children underwent artificial feeding, while the co program showed signs of amylorrhea and steatorrhea among most children. Owing to the mixture feeding, most children showed an in crease of body mass, normalization of co program and peripheral blood indices. The high mixture efficacy was confirmed among 11 children in their first months of life with different surgical pathology accompanied by the stool disorders in the postoperative period. The use of the given mixture allowed for the stool normalization, stoppage of enteral losses and rate stabilization of the body mass increase at early stages already in conditions of the resuscitation department.

Abstract
The researchers evaluated the efficacy of different immunosuppressive medications in case of steroid dependent and steroid resistant variants of the nephrtic syndrome among children: traditional alkylating agents (cyclophosphamide, chlorbutin), cyclosporine and mycophenolate mofetil. Cyclosporine proved to be most efficient in treatment against steroid dependent nephritic syndrome, as the researchers were more often able to cancel the steroids, while the recurrence of the nephritic syndrome developed less often. In the event of the steroid resistant nephritic syndrome, the full/partial remission was achieved among more than 80% patients also treated by cyclosporine. In case of the proliferating forms of the steroid resistant nephritic syndrome, the positive outcome was achieved among all the children under observation, if mycophenolate mofetil and steroids were further applied. Therapy by the conventional alkylating agents (cyclophosphamide, chlorbutin) proved to be less efficient both for the relief from the steroid dependence and persistent remission of the steroid resistant nephritic syndrome.
Key words: nephritic syndrome, immunosuppressive therapy, alkylating agents, cyclosporine, mycophenolate mofetil, children.

Abstract
Due to the fast (and drastic) changes of the oral care products market in Russia for the last 15–20 years, it's become feasible to evaluate the efficiency of caries fluorine prophylaxis. Despite the wide usage of fluorine content toothpastes, the rates of caries among children haven't actually changed. Moreover, in some regions a growth of frequency and intensity of this pathology has been witnessed, especially in younger age groups. At the same time, the introduction of new prophylaxis programs results in reduced rates of caries (decrease by 60–70%). This open wide opportunities for successful and efficient prophylaxis programs for kids and teenagers — both within organizations (schools, kindergartens, colleges) and individually by doctor's recommendation.
Key words: children, caries, prophylaxis.

Abstract
The article analyzes current situation of bronchial asthma non medicated therapy. The need to apply such therapy is associated with the on going trend of more frequent severe bronchial asthma cases, as well as not always efficient standard schemes of medicated treatment. The authors announce a physiotherapy device «aster» — it is based on innovative technologies and designed for noninvasive impact of electromagnetic waves with non thermal intensity upon the «pulmonary triangle» body area. A randomized multicentered survey of Russia's pediatricians union is being conducted to prove the efficiency of this device for children with bronchial asthma and basic therapy adequate to the severity degree. The application of this device is expected to reduce symptoms and eliminate dysfunctions of respiratory system typical for bronchial asthma, which cannot be totally eliminated with the current anti inflammatory agents.
Key words: bronchial asthma, non medicated therapy.

Abstract
The article provides the data on the causes and mechanisms of Raynaud's syndrome development. initial or idiopathic Raynaud's syndrome is characterized by the spasm of the digital arteries and thermoregulatory vessels of skin under the impact of the cold without any signs of vessel lesions. In the event of secondary Raynaud's syndrome, there is combination of Raynaud's syndrome with the symptoms of other diseases. Secondary raynaud's syndrome is most often associated with scleroderma systematica, systemic erythema centrifugum, other rheumatic diseases, hematologic disc orders and intake of some medications. There is also data on the opportunity to apply the synthetic medication prostaglandin е 1 — alprostadil to treat Raynaud's syndrome associated with rheumatic diseases. The given clinical example demonstrates high efficacy of alprostadil in case of the patient, suffering from scleroderma systematica and generalized Raynaud's syndrome.
Key words: children, scleroderma systematica, alprostadil, Raynaud's syndrome.
