The journal "Current Pediatrics" ("Voprosy Sovremennoi Pediatrii") highlights the most pressing issues both scientific and applied, such as social pediatrics, clinical diagnostics of child diseases, prevention and rehabilitation, nutrition of healthy and sick child. The journal reflects the current state of pediatric science and health organizations in Russia. It publishes articles presented by leading Russian specialists - pediatricians, hygienists, nutritionists, allergists and others. A reader can also find the official information of the Union of pediatricians of Russia. In the course of the years a fold of likeminded people has been formed which united various specialists of all the branches of pediatrics on the whole territory of Russia and in the CIS.

The journal introduces the research of national and foreign scientific schools, with clinical guidelines, the results of clinical trials, their legal and ethical aspects. Moreover, it covers articles on the history of science, proceedings of congresses, seminars, conferences which took place both in Russia and abroad.

The journal is included in the list of State Commission for Academic Degrees and Titles.
